The Pug is well described by the phrase “a big dog in a little dog body”. They are known for their even-tempers, playful personalities, and their outgoing, loving dispositions. They readily adapt to all situations. They are a family favorite as the Pug’s reason for living is to please and be near their family members, particularly children. The Pug is a sturdy breed, needing only minimal exercise, which makes them ideally suited for apartment living. As with any short-faced dog, owners must be cautious to not let the pug over exercise, as they are susceptible to heat stroke. Because they are short-faced, the pug will often snore while sleeping. This is one of the most common reason pugs are surrendered and end up in rescues. Country of origin: China
