Grooming Needs: Brush and comb coat every other day. Trim nails and brush teeth weekly. Bathe and blow dry every other week, or professionaly groom every other month
Coat: Straight, glossy, silky, long single coat similar to human hair that falls below the body, but doesn't touch the floor. Hair parts on the head and down the back.
Size: 9-10 inches, 8-11 pounds
Temperment: Alert, outgoing, busy, and friendly, but territorial
Training: Medium

Children: Good
Compatibility with other dogs: Good
Health Concerns: Luxating patellas (slipping kneecaps), Legge-Calve-Perthes disease (degenerative hip disease common in smaill dogs), hypothyroidism, some dental problems such as early tooth loss and gum disease
